From 14 to 16 May 2026, members of the Hope4Kids consortium from five countries gathered in Prague, Czech Republic, for the 20th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care.
The congress provided an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen international partnerships and explore new approaches to improving palliative care across Europe.
Sharing the work of Hope4Kids
We were proud to see Hope4Kids representing two posters at the congress. These contributions offered an opportunity to introduce the Joint Action, share its ambitions with the international palliative care community and connect with professionals working towards similar goals.
Moving forward together
International events such as the EAPC World Congress remind us how essential collaboration, shared knowledge and innovation are to the future of palliative care.
Hope4Kids is a four-year European Union Joint Action coordinated by the Princess Máxima Center. It brings together more than 60 organisations from 23 countries, including hospitals, research institutions, policymakers and parent organisations.
We are proud to be part of this inspiring European collaboration. Together, we are working towards more compassionate, child- and family-centred palliative care and better support for children with cancer and their families across Europe.
Hope4Kids is funded by the European Union’s EU4Health Programme through the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) and forms part of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
